CAMS ePro System Terms of Service
By accessing or using CAMS ePro, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully before using the system.
1. Introduction
Welcome to CAMS ePro System ("CAMS ePro" or "System"), a proprietary electronic Patient Reported Outcomes (ePro) platform developed by CAMS ePRO ("Company," "we," or "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access and use of CAMS ePro, including associated websites, applications, and services.
By accessing or using CAMS ePro, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms.
2. Authorized Access and User Responsibilities
You must possess valid login credentials provided by the Company. Sharing credentials is strictly prohibited. You are responsible for all activities conducted using your credentials. Unauthorized access or misuse of patient information will result in immediate account termination and potential legal action.
3. Privacy, Data Protection, and Compliance
CAMS ePro complies with British Columbia's Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA), the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA), and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
You agree to:
- Protect patient data and adhere strictly to applicable privacy laws.
- Immediately report any unauthorized access or breach of data security.
- Use CAMS ePro exclusively for authorized healthcare, administrative, or research purposes.
4. System Security
We implement rigorous security measures to protect user and patient data, including data encryption, secure access protocols, and regular audits. However, no digital system is completely risk-free. You agree not to circumvent, disable, or interfere with any security-related features.
5. Proprietary Rights and Restrictions
CAMS ePro and all associated intellectual property are owned exclusively by CAMS Health Technologies. You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the System for approved healthcare, administrative, or research purposes. You must not:
- Modify, reverse engineer, or redistribute the System.
- Use CAMS ePro for commercial purposes beyond those explicitly authorized by the Company.
6. Data Retention and Disposal
Data will be retained in accordance with applicable British Columbia laws. If no specific retention period is legally mandated, all data associated with your account will be securely deleted within 30 days of termination of our contract. Data disposal involves permanently deleting SQLite database files using secure deletion commands (e.g., `rm -rf`).
7. Availability and Service Limitations
While we strive for continuous availability, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. Maintenance and system upgrades will occur at our discretion.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by British Columbia law, CAMS ePRO shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to the use or inability to use CAMS ePro.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CAMS ePRO and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from all claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses arising from your use or misuse of CAMS ePro or violation of these Terms.
10. Modifications to Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Significant changes will be communicated via email or prominently within the System. Continued use after any modifications indicates your acceptance.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to immediately suspend or terminate your access for violations of these Terms or applicable laws.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.
13. Individual Rights
Consistent with FIPPA and HIPAA, individuals whose data is managed within CAMS ePro have rights including, but not limited to:
- Accessing their personal health information.
- Requesting corrections to inaccuracies.
- Understanding how their data is utilized.

15. Use of Anonymized and Aggregated Data
You agree and acknowledge that CAMS ePRO may collect, use, anonymize, aggregate, analyze, and share de-identified or anonymized data collected through CAMS ePro for research, benchmarking, or other analytical purposes. Such data will be anonymized or aggregated so that individuals or institutions cannot reasonably be identified. CAMS ePRO reserves the right to share or distribute this anonymized or aggregated data with third-party institutions, research organizations, healthcare entities, or regulatory bodies for the advancement of healthcare services, quality improvement, benchmarking, or related purposes. No personally identifiable patient information or institutional identifiers will be shared or disclosed.
By continuing to use CAMS ePro, you signify acknowledgment, understanding, and acceptance of these Terms.
